I said in my heart with regard to the children of man that god is testing them that they may see that they themselves are but beasts.
The bible does not give any explicit teaching on whether pets/animals have “souls” or whether pets/animals will be in heaven. By this i do not mean that animals have no value, and we should not be considerate of them. Upon death, the body and soul of an animal cease to exist.

In many passages, god shows compassion for the beast or bird, whether by the law, or other means. Spirits & souls are not the same. It is clear that god does care for the animals.
